Skoolsports Hockey Camps: Quality and Experience

Skoolsports USA aims to create a quality learning environment which generates a willingness for athletes to learn and practise the skills and techniques required to improve their field hockey abilities. Our camps are designed with a fun element at their core as we believe this creates the best environment for young players to improve and learn. Our coaches to participant ratio is 1:8 as we strive to ensure all children are provided with equal attention to ensure their Skoolsports USA experience is an enjoyable one and provides them with the incentive to continue to develop in the future.

Internationally known field hockey players

With our extensive coaching network around Europe and USA, we put together an amazing team of international coaches and top college coaches from leading Division I schools for Skoolsports USA. Many of the coaches at our camps have played at the top level in not only the Scottish but the English, Dutch, Spanish, South African and Australian leagues. International players availability at camps is dependent upon International training and match programs.

What is included in the programme?

Intensive coaching camps which include skills sessions focussing on all the key areas of the game, competitions, games and question and answer sessions with current hockey internationals. All participants receive a complimentary Skoolsports t-shirt from Canterbury and a selection of items that could include a hockey water bottle, key ring and/or a hockey related accessory. Several other prizes will be awarded to the most improved players and the winners of games and skills sessions. As a participant at a camp you also have the opportunity to purchase Skoolsports USA clothing and use the special discounts available to you on our sponsors clothing and stick ranges.

Coach Development

Skoolsports USA coaches have experience of developing coaching structures within Clubs and Schools covering age specific skill development, training exercises and tactical development. We can offer Schools in-service classes to develop club members/teachers understanding of the game and provide information which will ensure coaches will maximise their time with their players.
